Hiking Trails

Stinson Mountain Trailhead on Lower Doetown Road

There is a small pull-off space for vehicles. The trail ascends 1.8 miles to Stinson Mountain at an elevation of 2,900 feet, where there is a good view of Stinson Lake. The elevation gain is 1,371 feet.

Three Ponds Trail

Offers a few different hikes. Most popular is an easy 2.2 mile walk to the scenic middle pond and Three Pond shelter. There is also the 5.3 mile loop back to the trailhead via Donkey Hill Cut-off and the Kineo Trail. Three Ponds Trailhead is also the eastern access of the Carr Mountain trail.

Rattlesnake Mountain Trailhead

Is a short (1.3 miles) but steep trail that accesses excellent views of the Baker River Valley from a scenic loop of the summit of Rattlesnake Mountain. The very small parking area on Buffalo Road is located just east of the Rumney Transfer Station.

Snowmobile Trails

We are blessed with fabulous snowmobile trails that are managed locally by the Bruhawachet Sno Trackers snowmobile club: https://bruhawachet.com.

The club was founded in 1969 and is responsible for repair, maintenance, and grooming of snowmobile trails that also benefit cross-country skiers and winter hikers.

The local trail system connects to and is part of the 7,000 miles of trails that span New Hampshire.

If you enjoy snowmobiling, consider joining the local club.
